I first discovered Little Flowers while browsing the internet. While the idea of it sounded good, I just never believed that we would ever have one at our parish. After about a year of dreaming, I was having lunch with some moms from church. I was telling them about Little Flowers and they thought it sounded wonderful. They told me that if I wanted to start a group, they would join with their daughters. I can't tell you how excited I was to be having my dream come true.
I have never started a group of any kind before and I must say I was a little nervous. Well, we are now in our second year and I'm glad to say that the group is still going strong and I believe it will continue to grow.
Because of wanting to keep the girls in Little Flowers
identity safe, I will not be sharing any picutres of the members. Each
mom is so different. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable. I will post pictures of the crafts or activities that we do.
I'm definitely not much of a writer, but I thought this would be a good way to document our group. Not only will it help me remember what kind of activities and crafts we do, it will help whoever, one day, takes my place. It will be so fun too look back and see how the group changes and grows.
